Its a great audiobook, good voice for it too. I believe the book is very underrated and was far more frightening than William Peter Blatty. The Exorcist is mainly just trying to shock.

Well there is a tonal difference between both novels and story. The Amityville Horror bends towards a diary layout / day by day struggle where The Exorcist is more a journey with multiple elements and characters between priests, family, historical, science vs god and faith breakdown. Not sure it's a 'shock' novel. It's shocking to the reader if easily shocked. I found it more of a faith / detective narrative.
