Amityville Horror house - in gingerbread

Post by thecount » Fri Dec 15, 2006 7:38 am

Hi everybody!

I finally got my Amityville-house put together, although in a mirrored version (my girlfriend was a bit quick on the gooey, hot sugar-thingy, so she put the wrong side of the house on). Please forgive me for that! Didn't turn out so bad after all. Next years gonna be much better! How about a contest??

I know you want to! Can you imagine how difficult it is for me (or my 2 year old daughter) to keep our hands off it? Haha!

That's awesome Count. I am inspired, although from my limited knowledge of making gingerbread houses I would be afraid of the roof caving in or cracking, did you put a support under the roof?

Great job to you and the wife. :D

Thanx a lot! Well, we had no idea how it would turn out. We have no support under the roof actually. I guess you could do a "safe" version with support, but our house hasn't collapsed yet. :) Still: it sure was a challenge with a 4-piece roof! :D

Wow! 108 Ocean Avenue looks scrumptious! I call first dibs on the windows! :D

Thanx Green! Maybe I should start building more, and send 'em around to everyone who likes it, haha!

At first appearance it looks very festive, and reminds me of a Christmas treat.

But when I realise which house it is, I have second thoughts.

I am quite sure it tastes quite good, and it makes me want to have a taste.

Just be warned folks ... it could be cursed! All who consume it will get violent stomach cramps. So avoid eating the sewing room, the red room and the master bedroom.

Well, not really. :D

BTW, Green: I tried out the Sloganizer. I typed in my nick "count", and got this slogan: «Things go better with count.» :D

Hi thecount!

Doing well ?

Your Amityville house seems yummy! :P

Did you do the first movie house on purpose or is it a mistake ? Because the real House does not have the chimney that long from the bottom to the top, it's the first movie house that has it. The real House just has a chimney that starts from the roof.

Nice work anyway man!!

I wish you a nice day
