too bad political and religious differences could make it so impossible to fully experience something as grand as this.

the whole area is of historical importance dan, but due to "lines drawn in the sand" boundries are up and no one can walk freely where christ once walked in peace.

Yeah, it's too bad. I guess. Although what else can ya do? Jews, Christians and Muslims all want it for themselves at the exclusion of the others.

In peace? He was pretty much attacked, ridiculed, and mobbed everywhere He went. Not so peaceful if you ask me!

Love the pictures Coaster!! Keep 'em coming!

Hi everyone. It's been a while. My computer hasn't been working so I couldn't post any pics. It is currently being fixed so expect to see more pics in the near future.

Question about Christs tomb. I thought he was buried in a cave, yet your pic seems to show a small building inside a bigger building. So, is there a cave inside a building inside a bigger building?

I think that The Church of the Holy Sepulchre was built on the hill where Jesus was crucified and buried. The building that you see in the picture is a shrine in the church that was built over where they thought the cave was. I'm not exactly sure though.

Hi everyone! After spending 3 months in the holy city of Jerusalem, we moved to the seaside community Bat Yam fo the final 3 months of the trip where I will be working at a dog shelter. Bat Yam is a suburb of the trendy metropolis of Tel Aviv on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Pics to come.
P.S. If you want to see pics from the beginning of my trip when I was in the Negev dessert, search for the thread titled "Farewell"
