George Lutz emailed me recently with this photo. He asked me to see if I can find faces in the windows:

i have seen loads of pictures like these on ghoststudy and other ghost websites. not of amityville but of other places. these are creepy when was thid picture taken do you know. i think the second post picture is really clear you can see the face straight away

I can see them but I still don't know whether they are a trick of the eye's or not. I also have some Ghost window shots I took of an Australian Haunting if your interested Brendan

The photograph was taken in 1974, shortly after the murders.

During an interview on Magic Mind, on May 12th, 2005, George Lutz presented the photograph and pointed out the faces in the windows. The picture was displayed on the website for people to see and look through while the interview was being aired.

I believe that what was mentioned on the interview (I cannot be 100% sure), but the faces in the windows were not noticed for something like 30 years and were only just noticed by someone who knew George.

If anybody knows the real story then please let me know?

I have heard about this place in Manly.

I live 20 minutes from Maitland Gaol, which does night tours etc. It is now a part of the National Heritage listing and closed down in the early 1990's.
There have been some reports of ghost sightings and phenomenon in the gaol.

ok, that was creepy ....i saw the faces clearly especially in the 2nd, 3rd and 6th picture

This is an interesting post Brendan. There are some extremely disturbing images within these images. One of the creepiest posts from Amityville I've seen so far in all of the 26 odd years I've followed this story. the more I look at these, the more I see.

Officially creeped out now.

It's the second pic for me - the others seem like an interpretation of a face - but that one looks like a face and boy does it look sad. Does anyone know which/who's room this is, please? Any thoughts who you think the faces are would be cool also. 8)

that is the one that got me too you can see it so clear. i am not sure what room it is. but i would like to find out aswell. very creepy pictures

here is the lay out of the second floor i think the picture is bedroom 3 which i think is the boys room but i could be wrong does anyone else know

i can see it clearly from the first pic of the house maybe because i had already seen it close up

what is that in the window right below that on the first pic of the house ...looks like there is something there , maybe just some kind of reflection

nope..no faces. you see what you wanna see I guess.

there are so clear in the pictures how can you say you cant see them and it is not the case of we see what we want to we see what is there plain and clear.

In this case, I see an image that I don't want to see. Whether or not it's my mind playing tricks on me, there's a certain image in that photograph that has always been very unsettling to me....

Below is an image that you can see in the famous "Newsday" photo. Just over the "High Hopes" sign, you can see what appears to be a demonic-looking face peering out from behind a window pane. Most people pick it up right away (and say that it looks kinda like Linda Blair from the Exorcist). Assuming most people don't see it right away, I created an image which helps you to see it more clearly. I've added a dramatic comparison underneath the original photo to give it a creepy perspective in case you're having a hard time seeing a face.

By the way, I had to place this huge, disgusting, ugly-ass watermark in the middle of the picture because the last 3 times I altered Amityville pictures, someone went and posted them all over the internet having mis-labeled them and it caused all sorts of confusion. LOL, so I apologize ahead of time
