I see 'Jodie's eyes' but what is that thing right next to the eyes? To me it looks a bit like a warped skeletal face.

I visited LI last December with my kids, and we went out to the gravesite to place flowers and visit some friends.

On the way back, we decided to drive by the "infamous" house and take a few pictures. What I didn't realize until months later, through an email from someone, that there were three faces in-side of the snowflakes on the photo. It has always been claimed that three people committed the murders of the DeFeo family, and for me, this just reassures that belief.

I do see the faces and agree on many of them. However, this is not "Jody's eyes." On that post that supports the "High Hopes" sign, there are two spotlights that correspond exactly to the two bright orbs you're referring to. Both lights face the window in question. You can't see the lights on the post because the pic is chopped off (they're set kinda low on the post). I'll see if I can find the old one posted here ("Newsday Photo") to see if I can show you this more clearly ..

Oh Crud. The lights on the post are obscured by the writing added to the pic .. but trust me I have seen one where the two spotlights on the posts show and are in fact lit up, facing the window ...

here all this time i thought we were looking for something like dan ( shite or billy one of them sorry) pointed out... SOMETHING that looks like its not just a reflection of the out side world. these faces are big and dont even look like anyone.

i agree it does look like something... that is the exception... im tired of looking at these windows thinking your seeing something when more than likely its just the reflection that picture creeps me out... i dont like. it.

hey ZZ check this picture out... i took the 6 yrs ago.. i'm missing the main one when i'm facing the mist...

this is my old house. we were moving so i was taking pictures of EVERYTHING. the picture is of a man made pond with a rock water fall. it is over grown with black berry bushes. now this picture look the left you can see a mist.... it wasnt raining and wasnt cold enough for the steam that comes out of your mouth..

the mail pic that i cant find anywhere is the same picture just facing it... the mist covers most of the picture... but is only in the center... what do you think of it....

persphone i know you look at a lot of these are you welcome to look to.

i'll keep looking for that other pic.

Those orbs in that one photo is probably snowflakes or something to do with the rain/water.

ZZ, thank you for sharing the pic that shows the lights.

But about this image that you highlighted: this was "the" first thing I saw when I saw this photo for the first time. This photo was taken in 1974 after the murders. Before the Lutzes moved in. I've discussed it with friends of George; That is more than a simple photographic anomoly. As I have stated here before, a demon can appear absolutely as solid as a human being. Ghosts either can't do it or don't do it; but that makes sense, because it actually causes a great expense of enery to a spirit to try to appear even as a shadow, or mist, or even just to generate sound, or to cast an impression on tape (be it audio or video).

All those faces in all those windows, but that little barely noticeable face jumped out at me immediately.

I do not think someone put a paste-up of Demonic Regan in the window for those Newsday photos "just to get a rise out of people." In the first place Newsday would certainly have no interest in such a disrespectful prank; more importantly, no one would have a motive to pull a prank (a) right after the murders, and (b) no telling how many police, sheriff, and morgue, and news personnel had been all over that house top to bottom.

My belief in my identification is 100%. My gut feelings were instantly stirred.

And this brings up some interesting questions: If it was there before the Lutzes, is it possible it appeared to any of the Defeo's?

Or,

Was the demon attracted to the site because of the carnage that had taken place? And missed the Defeos completely? Entities sometimes appear in areas where a tragedy has taken place, drawn to the negative energy.

And if that is the case, it would explain that while George and Kathy may have unwittingly interacted with it via TM, it nonetheless could have been there prior, and indeed affected the attitudes of the people who moved in after it's arrival. It would explain how the mood of all the Lutzes changed from the very beginning of their having moved in.

By the very same token, in order to consider those points, then this one would apply too:

Being that a demonic presense can affect the mood of people -- before it manifests itself in other ways, even it's presence can be sensed -- is it possible that it was there before the Defeo Massacre? Not appearing yet, but simply being there could have caused all sorts of feelings of dread, or something being wrong, or even just the strong feeling that someone is standing right behind you, watching you, even that is enough to unhinge some people. Even this atmosphere can bring about conflict; and the more people present, the bigger the chance for conflict to arise.

But since most people don't see the things which require extra-ordinary perception, I can understand where those statements may not make a lot of sense. I can only assure you that spirits and demons are very different types of beings, not similar in any way, and people tend to forget that each falls into guidelines that the other does not.
