I think that the pig photo, from reading this thread, is unavailable as of yet. also, I too see the kid holding the doll thing under the sign, and it is rather creepy, but also seems like it might be some kind of Watermark, as it resembles a pic of Lorraine Warren holding annabelle the haunted doll...so maybe they had this pic for their site at some point, and put that there to prevent stealing or something

I disagree. I saw no such pictures indicating that Annabelle has elbow joints that allow the doll to be posed with an arm bent upward at the elbow joint. And I don't see anything remotely resembling Mrs. Warren either -- it looks like a young boy.

To me that's just as absurd as claiming the "ghost boy pic" resembles Mrs. Warren.

But I have come to the conclusion, after being on this board a couple of weeks, that some people will do anything at all to discredit the Warrens -- no matter how far-fetched the claim may be.

....I believe I am using this very picture in question as my current desktop background on my computer. I found it elsewhere other than on here and it is slightly larger and more clear than the one you see from the link earlier. This picture is my most favorite one ever taken of the house that is not in color. Now I believe I see the thing in question under the sign and I do not really believe it is anything other than an opening in the bushes that exposes the side of the house and the window. I am more intrigued by the two " dots " that resemble eyes in the middle window of the sunporch. But, and you never know, I bet those are explainable also. But again, I would like some explanation as to what those may be. :shock:

To me it looks like it could be one of the religious statues that adorned the house. The Mother Mary and baby Jesus maybe?

....O.K., after comparing the Newsday photo in question with a photo from Ric Osuna's :roll:

site http://www.amityvillemurders.com/, I have come to this " temporary " conclusion : The " entity " that you may see under the High Hopes sign is probably the statue thing that sits atop the circular brick ledge in front of the bushes near the sunporch windows. The " dots " that are visible in the middle window of the sunporch may very well be lights from inside the sunroom. Were there chandaliers hanging from the ceiling in the sunroom ?? The two photos being compared are taken from very different angles but can still be scrutinized next to one another. I also believe that they may be taken within 24 hours of one another. Compare the Newsday photo with image number three from the crimescene gallery on Osuna's site.

Interesting comments everyone!

I too noticed the white orbs looking out the sunporch window in the middle. I also see a face in the second-story window to the right. I also see a partial face in the third story "moon" window to the left.

I need some help finding something: a few days back while going through this website, I came across another website that had the Defeo crime-scene photos, about 74 of them in all. Can anyone tell me a clue how to get back to that website? It included pics of the religious statues in the yard; but also included the actual pics of all of the deceased in their beds.

Any help is sincerely appreciated. The site *may* have been connected with something like Court TV or something similar to that ... I googled but couldn't find it again ...

I believe that the site that you are referring to is www.amityvillemurders.com you will find the crimescene photo's here. I think that the pics that you are referring to are #47, 58, 59, 61, 62, 70 & 71.

After looking at Image 3 on the other other site I will have to agree here. The statue is there clear as day, although it looks somewhat larger in this pic, prolly to do with colour v's B&W and the differing angles of the shots.

The "dots" that are visible in the middle window of the sunporch are, IMO, definately interior lights.

Thanks Simon and all who helped (via PM),

I wasn't looking for the death scenes, it turns out the exact photo I needed was #3, the one Rameses pointed out (thank you too!).

Now there's no doubt in my mind that the object under the "High Hopes" sign is indeed a statue of Mary and Jesus. I'm so glad ya'll brought it up, because the clarity of it in the Newsday photo was bugging me for some reason.

However, it also appears from Osuna'sMassiveForehead website, that pic #3 shows chandeliers on the windows on either side, but not in the middle.

Back to the Newsday photo: The two white orbs, that's harder to discount. Notice both orbs appear on the same pane of glass, so it would be moot to say it's two different panes reflecting the same light source.
