Newsday photo of the house on the front page.

Postby Victoria Principles » Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:47 pm

Is the big surprise suppose to be that figure in the middle window overlooking the lawn?

If it is, that thing looks like some cheap ghost costume in a "B" rated horror movie. I personally feel it is a reflection of light.

Original Newsday photo question

Postby Ms Midnight » Thu Mar 16, 2006 10:26 am

I was just wondering if there were any people in the house at the time the photo was taken. I'm wondering this because after looking at the photo I can make out the figure of a person in the first story/right hand window. I'm assuming there were people in the house at the time for obvious reasons. If anyone knows for sure please let me know so I know what is is I'm looking at.

That picture was taken right after the murders. If look closely you will see the 1974 version of crime scene tape (a rope with a sign attached to it.)

I know it was taken right after the murders but had anyone gone inside yet? Was anyone in side when the picture was taken??

Does anyone else see the face in the left 1/4 moon window? You have to zoom in but that's what it looks like to me. It's just about center in the window.

Newsday. Old man. Young Child. Crow face.

Note the figure above the sign; How it's the only white part on the window- And the rest is black. Most of the other windows have light on them, Which makes them have strange random images in them- That you use your mind to manipulate into what you want to see- But in this one there isn't light shining there. It looks like there is something actually inside.

Also note the statue- I at first discared it as one of those baby-angel statues that people have everywhere. But then I took a second look and noticed the man standing behind it. Look at that- It's the head and the shoulders of a man with a beard. Looks kinda old to me.

Ask yourself this- Why in gods name would you have a statue that looked like that- Creepy and such.

two- Why would you have a fully painted statue- How many people would have that? No one really, It doens't look good. It looks terrible. So that leans me away from the statue conclusion,

Also- Look below it- Do you see anything that looks like the bottom of the statue- No. looks just like foliage, Even the white dot where you can barely see through the brush.

I'd like to note as soon as I looked at this photo- I got an itch in my throat and coughed, And I still feel like I have a frog in my throat when I look at it again. I'm not planning to again. and upon staring at this man my eyes watered.

I'm intruged, But feel warned.

My logic tells me it's probably just my mind- I'm being a fanatic. I mean- If you look at a picture of nothing, And try so hard to see something- You'll bend it in your mind until you do see something- So I just looked at it keeping this in mind and found this.

Feedback?

This has been discussed in another thread, if you look closely at the "left eye" of whatever it is that you think that you may be seeing you will see that it is the eyelet of the hook that the chain on the high hopes sign is connected to. If you look at the full size image of the pic you will see an identical eyelet on the other end of the sign.

regardless - it is just what you say it is...a statue, on of many that were on the property.

Ask yourself this- Why in gods name would you have a statue that looked like that- Creepy and such.

Well...I wouldn't, I am not a fan of garden statues and gnomes but I still don't see how it is "creepy and such"

My logic tells me it's probably just my mind- I'm being a fanatic. I mean- If you look at a picture of nothing, And try so hard to see something- You'll bend it in your mind until you do see something

Correct ! It is known as pariedolia (sp) - it is the minds ability to "fill in the blanks" - a good example is when people see pictures in clouds.
