Picture of the DeFeo children / Location?

Postby VintageBoy91 » Tue Sep 13, 2011 12:14 pm

Was this photo of the children taken in 112 Ocean Avenue?
I'm not sure about the location.
Someone here said it was taken in 1969.

The furniture looks the same in the crime scene photos.

The picture was taken in the southeast corner of the living room.

It amazed me how many living rooms the DeFeos needed. Most people had one. Let's see, they had their traditional living room, the TV room, and the basement used for living quarters. Plus they had a TV in practically every room, including the kitchen.

They did have a lot of televisions for that time period, they must have been pretty well off to afford that many of them and their electricity bills. Weren't televisions back in 1974 still black and white too?

The cheaper ones were, but all TV programming was in color by then.

I always matched the room up with the TV room. But then again Max does have more info than me.

This pic makes me sad. Based on the age they look they didn't have long to live when this was taken. :-(

Yeah Kudzu! I felt the same way. Sad.

And as I glanced at that picture, I got an eerie chill as well. The picture hanging on the wall behind them; Look at it closely, it looks as though there is an image of the side of 112 within that picture!!! The side with the quarter moon windows. It's kinda right in the middle of the two people that appear to be standing there talking

When I see that big hand, I think, that's the hand that held the rifle. It pisses me off and makes me madder than sh1t! It's all I seem to focus in on.

The child in the middle looks creepy, like the face is pushed up against glass

Actually if you look closely the child looks like he may have some sort of actual physical affliction/ disability.
look at his hands and how they are bent in, and his legs/lower section.
I have a nephew who has some type of cerebral palsy and his physical appearance<not actual looks> doesn't differ too much from this childs.
I have not read much on the defoes does any one know if any of the children, this boy inparticular, did have any physical disabilities?

Huh? It's a kid making a face while a picture being taken. How unusual.

No. As Victoria said, just kids goofing off for the camera.

Yes , the oldest child has a disability and serious problems. All the other kids came out fine. The first born came out with hate. Hate for his
entire family.

I think Marc has a lollipop in his mouth. If you look closely you can see the stick. I think this adds to his expression. I also notice that the youngest is sticking his tongue out and Allison appears to have purple around her mouth - maybe they were told to show their lollipop painted tongues to the camera? :)

Dawn and Ronnie appear out of place on the photograph. I think with the case of Dawn it's simply because she appears older and more mature to the younger kids and with Ronnie I just get the vibe that he doesn't really want to be in the photograph, he also looks slightly drunk or something...

Actually if you look closely he's holding a slingshot in his right hand...and a ball in his left hand.
