The cops and the medical examiner were doing their jobs...which just so happened to involve taking photos and conducting autopsies.
The judge allowed the jurors to see the photos because it was their job to determine whether or not Ronnie was guilty.
It’s no one’s job to plaster photos of slaughtered victims on the back cover of a book...or to upload numerous videos containing images of slaughtered children.
It is also totally unnecessary (see below).Ryan Katzenbach wrote:We also use the photos, though they are horrible to look at, to demonstrate to the viewer exactly how horrible this crime was. Whether you like it or not, this was a terrible, senseless tragedy. To look at the photos is to understand how senseless it was.
Considering that Ronnie killed his family members with a rifle that was designed to kill full-fledged game beasts like bear and moose...photos aren’t necessary to demonstrate how horrible the crime was...or how senseless it was.
Even a fifth-grader would have a pretty good idea of what the carnage looked like without seeing the photos.

DUH?
How professional.
Very well said Max!!!

Ya know, he has a point when he said that anyone who watches true crime documentaries should expect graphic crime scene photos BUT..........
A warning would have been nice and like you said Max, was it necessary?............I don't think it is. Again, like you said, almost anyone could imagine what a high powered rifle could do to a human body, or face for that matter, at close range. Maybe put the graphic stuff on the dvd as a seperate chapter would be cool so one could decide to watch it or not.
I want to see this film and give it a fair shake to really see where they are coming from and I guess they are presenting more then one theory (hell, I'll listen whether I believe it or not). However, if it relies on gore to sell it then you can have it.
