Karen was a lab technician and union activist at the Kerr-McGee Cimarron Facility in Oklahoma. While there she had witnessed employee safety concerns as well as some alleged fraud. She was on her way to Oklahoma City to report her findings when things mysteriously changed.

It was interesting that there was a hubcap from the same type of car Karen Silkwood was killed in. Admittedly I had not looked into specifics of her death in form of how her car crashed and only thought there was moderate damage to the car. When I watched this video I saw that it was a total write-off.
