Amityville: The Final Testament

Post by KevinW » Mon Sep 27, 2010 5:20 pm

Got my October Channel Guide from Time Warner in the mail today and saw this:

Amityville: The Final Testament
Ronald DeFeo Jr., who was convicted of killing his entire family 35 years ago in an incident that inspired The Amityville Horror is now terminally ill and ready to sit for a final, definitive interview to answer the many questions still surrounding this case.

Scheduled to air on A&E at 8PM on Sunday, October 31st.

Yeah, should be interesting. So they label him as "terminally ill"? I wonder what that's all about. I heard he "didn't look good," but didn't know he had a definitive terminal illness. Guess we'll find out when it airs.

Can't imagine his interview will be anything close to "definitive," though. Final, perhaps, but I'm sure he'll just go on and on with more lies and bullsh*t.

Given his track record, I will not expect anything new.

You would think a terminally ill person would want to
make peace with his maker so to speak. Lets hope
this is the case.

Ronnie grew up Catholic right? So he is sitting around in his prison cell knowing he is going to die and starts to think, how is he going to get into heaven? Will his family be waiting for him? So he thinks if he tells the truth about everything that happened, God will forgive him. Or maybe he is just thinking about himself and by doing this interview he can go out with a bang!

It is sad though that he has absolutely nobody around that will give a crap when he dies. Where would he be buried? Does the prison have some place they send them?

I'm sure his wife will be in charge of his corpse. Do you suppose his grandma paid for a plot next to his family members?

Guess Tracey inherits that "fortune" grandma left for Ronnie, eh?

But Ronnie is now divorcing Tracey. So if Ronnie dies after the divorce is legal, does Tracey still get to decide the fate of his body? If they are divorced, does Tracey get the inheritance money? If not, who would get the money?

I would hope not, because that would be rather sick in my personal opinion, but who knows. I know I would not place the murderer next to the victims in their final resting place, regardless of the fact that they were all family.

Does anyone know for sure if there is a "fortune" left to Ronnie by his grandmother? What happens in a case like this if an inmate can inherit a fortune, but never gets out? And he has no heirs...is it even legal to leave an inheritance to an inmate? I am confused about the whole thing. Help.

Divorce: http://www.amityvillefaq.com/truthboard ... f=9&t=7742

I'm pretty sure this A&E special will focus on the murders (despite its airing on Halloween), so I've moved this thread to the DeFeo section...

Not that I ever want to breach copyright or break the law but...I really hope some kind soul shares this one or it winds up one of those Amity You Tube channels shortly after Halloween.

Not that I'm asking anyone here to do that for the rest of us...

Just kidding guys, but I would like someone to post a nice review or short synopsis of it, as I feel like I'm missing out!
