I thought Reg was joking. Isn't he?
Well "the face" we see in the closet still look like "The Exorcist" kind of, even before you show any other picture.

I dont see anything there, but I have a feeling something is definitly there. Also, I see what looks like Dawn's face on the wallpaper. It looks like her eyes are closed and shes frowning. Its underneath the "n" and "g" in "anything" in between the orange And black outlined flower. You have to zoom in a bit to notice it.

I must say, it certainly looks like a person, although if you rotate the photograph so that the left (west) side is facing down (south) then it looks as though it could be a simple newspaper stored away within her closet. However, having said that, spirits can appear to humans in the form of shapes. I have a few old photographs of family members taken in the 1920s (or is it 30s..) and there have been ghostly images of what has been suggested by mediums as being 'relatives from the other side' projected into stone walls.
It is better to return a borrowed pot with a little something you last cooked in it.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. How did I get here? Let me give you some background. I've had an interest in the paranormal for quite some time. I enjoy shows such as Paranormal State. I've read a number of books on the topic over the years. I'll admit that some were not completely labeled as nonfiction. More recently, I've started reading L B Taylor's series Ghosts of Virginia which has 10+ volumes. I chose this series because I live in Virginia. Taylor provides the stories from an unbiased point of view. He's done a lot of research on the history of many towns in VA. He's also interviewed hundreds of people. In this series, Taylor provides the reader with unembellished and verified (generally from multiple sources) accounts of paranormal activity in many of Virginia's historic locations. Last summer, I did one of my own investigations in Colonial Williamsburg. You can see photos from that investigation in my Progressive Thinker blog. Due to a number of factors, more investigations have been put on the back burner. Nevertheless, I do have more planned for this spring and summer. Last week, I was discussing hauntings and such with a friend and movies such as Ghost, Amityville Horror, and Mothman Prophecy were brought up. Since the thought of the Mothman Prophecy being real is quite terrifying and Ghost isn't based on a true story, I decided to do research on Amityville Horror. I've read a lot of stuff on the main AmityvilleFAQ site as well as some posts in this forum and info on a few other sites. In short, since George and Kathy Lutz both passed independent lie detector tests, I'll say that they truly believe what they saw was real. Therefore, it is not a hoax. You'll get more insight as to my thoughts on the topic in future posts in these forums.

Re: Chills

I looked at both the cropped and uncropped versions. I honestly cannot see anything unusual. The "item" in question appears to be something like a puzzle box, board game box, or perhaps a pillow to me. The photo isn't sharp enough to give a definitive answer. I do have a question though: What are a pair of what appears to be men's shoes doing in a woman's bedroom?

BTW, I don't see Dawn's frowning face in the wallpaper either. Sorry. Just being honest.
I believe that truth can sometimes be found with the absence of light. Sometimes our mind sees things that our eyes cannot. Removing light takes away external visual stimulus and gives our mind the freedom to interpret what the darkness might have to offer. Sit or lie still in a room nearly devoid of light. Stare into the open blackness. What do you see?

Gee whiz people! It's the pattern of a dress or shirt or something. Not Dawn Defeo's dead eyeball or the chilling stare from one of Satan's minions. Give me a break.

I dunno. Kinda looks like Teddy. Teddy is Satan's minion #488. I think it might be him. I'll ask at the next meeting...

Looks like a plastic container on a shelf of a closet.

The other squarish looking thing (seems grey or green to me) seems like something hanging on the closet door, with lacing.

As for the mirror, it seems to be turned around (to maybe deflect any flashes from the bulbs of the camera?) and this is why you might see things on the wallpaper........

In the larger picture in the corner you can see the reflection of the flashbulbs in the FOILED paper.
