the SH crew decided take the viewer on a whirlwind, fast-paced trip through one of this country's most sensational crimes. How? By creating a tour-de-force of visualization. Filmmakers are striving to shoot a documentary that goes further than any other documentary on this subject matter ever has. By casting actors who can recreate the chilling, key beats that transpired at the DeFeo home, viewers get an opportunity to experience life at 112 Ocean for themselves.

"Tied together with a dramatic original score, thorough narrative, and a set of comprehensive interviews, SH is intended to mate information with art."

The World according to Ric himself, this will be just as much if not more fictional than the Amityville Horror II: The Posession.

- Art my a$$
"It happened so quick. I mean, it was boom, boom, boom. From the first killing to the last, it never took any longer than seven seconds,
it would be alot, that would have been alot. Seven seconds." - Ronald J. DeFeo Jr.

http://www.shattered-hopes.com/Geraldine.html
For the first time ever, Geraldine DeFeo-Gates will appear on camera and tell her story, firsthand. Never before interviewed, Geraldine will recount life as a DeFeo, as well as how and why she was "erased" from the record by influential family members thus concealing her identity for nearly three-decades.
For the believer or the skeptic, Geraldine's tale is intriguing.
True.
In the end, it's up to the viewer as to whether she is, indeed, the former wife of Ronald DeFeo prior to the Amityville murders.
Good call.
The evidence, however, is unrefutable.
You've said that before...

And what's up with Ric? He looks like Jim Morrison in his last days...

The story of one one author's lifelong quest for the truth...

?and how one woman was haunted by it.

And no children...that's not a typo (i.e. the "one one")...that's just ol' Ryan being sloppy again.

The website looks very unprofessional. I can do better that that. 8-)

I love this line:
"The story of one one author's lifelong quest for the truth...

Shattered Hopes

Post by msmart112 » Thu May 04, 2006 10:06 pm

According to the website...

http://www.shattered-hopes.com

...this documentary will be based on Ric Osuna's book? The Night The DeFeos Died.

From the end of the "Afterword" section of Osuna's third version (Kai Noble)...

Still, if Geraldine's testimony was disregarded, then what is left? There is still the matter of Bobby Kelske's being implicated in the murders; the second gun and different caliber of bullet found in Louise DeFeo, the DeFeo's bodies being moved and the blood-stained floors; the undeniable Mob elements associated with this story; the Lutzes conspiring with William Weber to write a fictional ghost story; a judge who was one of the most corrupt in American history; and a seventh body.

OK?a few questions come to mind?

Why SHOULDN?T the ?testimony? of Geraldine be disregarded? After all, she and Ronnie didn?t even MEET until 1985. Is there any PROOF to claim otherwise? I mean?outside of falsified documents, BS affidavits, and silly Sheriff?s ID cards?

When was Bobby Kelske EVER implicated in the murders? Is there any paperwork, documentation, or testimony to support this claim?

When was it EVER established that a second gun was used? The eight recovered shell casings were ALL connected to the .35 Marlin rifle that Ronnie used to slaughter his family.

When was it EVER established that a different caliber bullet was found in Louise? All eight bullets were determined to have been from a .35 Marlin rifle.

When was it EVER established that any of the bodies had been moved? Gerard Sullivan ?suggesting? that Mr. DeFeo ?may? have been shot out of bed and later placed back in bed is NOT the same thing as it ever being ESTABLISHED that his body had been moved.

Where were these blood-stained floors? The only blood-stained floor was in Allison?s room.

What did the ?Mob? have to do with the murders?

What PROOF exists that George and Kathy conspired with William Weber to write a fictional ghost story?

How is Judge Stark one of the MOST corrupt judges in American history?

What PROOF is there that this ?seventh body? relates to the DeFeo case? The photo shown in Osuna?s book was obviously NOT from 112. As for the crime scene negatives on file in Suffolk County?is there any PROOF that the ?seventh body? photo was mixed-in with the other negatives?

Maybe this documentary will do a better job at answering those questions than Ric Osuna?s ?book? did.

when the shattered hopes site first came on, there was instructions for those interested in playing as The DeFeo's. It would be interesting to see if they find anyone that resembles them. Is there an exact date that it is coming out?

One can only HOPE it got the axe and that Osuna won't be able to spread his lies any further.

They said it was originally slated to air THIS fall. Now they say it's slated to air NEXT fall. A whole year? Gosh it's not uncommon for movies to hit a delay of weeks or months, but they're delaying it a whole year? I do hope they're investing their time wisely ... by checking to make sure they won't attract as many lawsuits.

And that's not the original "High Hopes" sign either. But don't let authenticity get in your way. Heaven forbid.

I wonder if their fairytale will include the infamous "Seventh Body" BS? Hmmm.
