TR Movie house on fire (for real)

Post by VampireKen » Tue May 11, 2021 11:42 pm

Hey all, dropping in after quite a few years to drop some breaking news. The movie house in Toms River caught fire tonight, fire is out and residents were not inside thankfully. From the pictures it looks like it started in the back of the house https://ocscanner.news/2021/05/12/toms- ... se-update/

I am not sure how bad the damage from the fire looks like from the photos, but the only damage I saw is one of the house's shutters looking messed up. (On the last photo.)

Update: https://www.nj.com/ocean/2021/05/fire-d ... ilmed.html

Fire started in the back and caused a propane tank to explode. It doesn’t appear to be intentional but it’s under investigation.

Also another from the Toms River Times. Also should note the quote about someone mentioning the filming at town council meeting was me. 😂 https://www.jerseyshoreonline.com/toms- ... ror-house/

Another one from the APP that includes a statement from the Fire Department. The house received some minor cosmetic damage, with the bulk of the damage on the back deck (which was not an original part of the house). The fire department Facebook has some more clear photos. Looks like some minor damage to the sun porch and some minor fire damage to the back of the house.
